OUR MISSION is to create an event that gives the senior athletes of the Blossom Valley Athletic League one final chance to showcase their talents on a basketball court for the community. The selected participants were nominated by their respective coaches.

RECAP:

3-POINT CONTEST: Michael Beltramo of Pioneer lit up the nets with two impressive rounds of 19 and 21 to take the boys title. Silver Creek's Kathleen De La Cruz edged out two other finalists to earn 1st place on the girls side.

SLAM DUNK CONTEST: This event lived up to the high expectations. In the finals, Dashaun Duncan (Gunderson, 6'3", Devon Mynhier (Piedmont Hills, 5'9") and Tyree McCrary (Oak Grove, 6'7") put on a show. Both McCrary and Mynhier were recpipients of perfect "50" scores during the contest. The event was capped off with McCrary exploding over a seated teammate to slam down the title.

GIRLS GAME: Led by 42 combined points of Santa Teresa teammates Desiree Collins (22 pts), Tanisha Bisbee (13 pts) and Rosa Tirado (7 pts), the East squad SQUEAKED out a 55-54 victory. The West was led by Silver Creek's Kathleen De La Cruz's 12 points. Collins was named the game's Most Outstanding Player.

BOYS GAME: Fun-filled action from start to finish! Tyree McCrary of Oak Grove displayed an array of blocks and dunks. Evergreen Valley's Khoi Nguyen knocked down numerous long-range shots. Devon Mynhier of Piedmont Hills sliced and diced his way through the defense. James Lick's Adrian Packer hit a three with 5 seconds remaining to tie the game at 70-70 for the South. In overtime, the South would finally pull out the 76-75 victory. McCrary led the South with 15 pts and took home the game's Most Outstanding Player award.
